‘such as willingly buy stolen flesh’ (Cowell 1607, whence in later Law Dicts.), is a spurious word, due to misunderstanding of the AF. text of Britton I. xxx. §3, which speaks of ‘butchers (macegriers) who knowingly sell stolen flesh’.
